Northern Lights - I didn't take this pictures

One of the things I desperately wanted to do while I was in Alaska was see the Northern Lights.  Unfortunately, we decided to go to Alaska when there was virtually no darkness (only twilight).  So the northern lights were impossible to see. 

Before I die, I want to see the northern lights... I mean how cool is this picture!!

Proof that there IS darkness in Alaska

So, even though I just got back from Vegas, I want to talk about Alaska. :)  

This is proof that during Summer, Alaska gets some darkness. Haha.  This picture was taken at 3 AM when we were on the way to go fishing.  My parents, C and I all went King Salmon fishing with a boat guide.  The boat guide told us that there is a 10% chance of someone catching a King, however, everyone on our boat caught 1 King, and C caught an additional Sockeye Salmon.  To be 100% honest, I don't really see the desire or what is so exciting to catch a King.  I mean granted they were really big, but it just seemed like catching a regular fish.  Perhaps its just me.  

Leaving for Alaska

Alright, in less than 24 hours I will be on my way to Alaska. :) Unfortunately I wont be posting while I am on vacation, so you will have to live without me.  I'll be gone for almost 2 weeks, but I'm sure I'll have a ton of stories to post about when I get home.
